The traditional saddle rail design has been with us for decades
and while it works well enough, it does have distinct limitations
when it comes to weight, price, and strength. A leader in the high-end
saddle market, SDG originally developed the revolutionary I-Beam™
saddle system to meet the needs of hard-core free riders who were
always breaking their traditional railed saddles. The I-Beam™
system replaces traditional saddle rails with a single carbon-composite
beam. An unforeseen benefit was a dramatic reduction in weight:
the wide and well-padded saddle that we use weighs only 200 grams,
lighter than many Ti rail saddles. Other benefits include 200% more
fore-aft adjustment to fit a wider range of riders, and super simple
one bolt adjustment. Working with SDG we've developed the I-Flex
saddle - a comfortable yet super light saddle w/ a MojoGroove center
